New Memorial Honors Minnick Family Members

A new Minnick Memorial was placed in the Minnick Family Cemetery in March of 2014 to recognize family members who have passed but who are buried elsewhere.

The memorial was donated by a member of the Minnick family as a way to honor those family members who are not buried here. It is a granite memorial with a stone base with pre-cut positions for memorial plaques to be placed as needed on both the front and the back sides.

The first two memorial plaques are for Joyce Belvin and Billy Hammack. Click here for more photos.

Memorial plaques include the decedent's name, dates of birth and death, relation to the Minnick family and final resting place.

Memorial plaques must be obtained through the Minnick Family Cemetery Association to maintain continuity of design and material. For more information about placing a memorial plaque, please use the MFCA contact page to send an inquiry.

Spring Work Day & Family Lunch April 26

It's that time of year again - the annual Spring Cemetery Work Day & Family Lunch. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with family while we clean-up the cemetery and enjoy a meal together afterward.

We will meet at the cemetery on Saturday, April 26th at 10:00 AM for a brief clean-up of the grounds. We will be trimming trees and plants in and around the cemetery, removing debris and cleaning around the graves. Most of the lawn and gardening equipment and cold drinks will be provided. Afterward, we will enjoy lunch together at a local eatery in Cedar Park.

2014 Officers Elected

The 2014 Officers were elected at a special meeting on January 13, 2014. Officers are elected annually by a majority vote of all members who are in attendance at the annual meeting. The 2013 annual meeting had low attendance due to the holidays, so a special meeting was called for the election of officers and other business. Officer eligibility and requirements are outlined in the Bylaws of the Minnick Family Cemetery Association and are available upon request.

The 2014 Officers are:

President: Mark Hutchinson

Vice- President: David Wilkins

Secretary: Rachael Wilkins

Treasurer: Cyndy Graham

Custodian: Tom Minnick
