Emigrant Ship Samuel: Simon Muench
Copied from official ship rosters of the emigrant ship The Samuel, which arrived at the Port of Philadelphia on August 30, 1737. On board was our direct ancestor, Simon Muench, his brother, Peter, and their families. The Muench's were from Germany. The ship originated in Rotterdam, Holland, traveled through the Port of Cowes in England, then sailed for America, a journey which would take 8-12 weeks, depending on the winds. Simon and Peter are listed with the last name Minech. |
