Cynthia (Cyndy) Ann Minnick, 70, of Hutto, Texas, passed away on November 20, 2017. She was born on October 31, 1947 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Charles Burney Rogers, Sr. and Virginia (Ginny) Inez (Smith) Rogers.
Cyndy was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Jeanie Rogers of Taylor. She is survived by her husband, Tom Minnick of Hutto, daughter Rachael Wilkins and husband David of Hutto, son David Minnick and wife Crystal of Hutto, brother Charles Burney Rogers Jr. (Smokey) of Taylor, granddaughter Krystina (Minnick) Beach and husband Keith of Round Rock, grandson Tyler Minnick and wife Kailee of El Paso, great-grandsons Eli Minnick and Kaiden Beach and niece Casey Rogers of Round Rock.
Cyndy grew up in Taylor, Texas and graduated from Taylor High School in 1966, where she was active in several school activities & organizations. She sang in the choir and was a featured soloist at her graduation.
She had a very close and rich relationship with the Lord and an unwavering faith that He would remain faithful in every circumstance. One of her great loves was studying the Word of God, especially the study of prophecy and the Hebrew language and history. She had a deep and profound insight into the Word and a Biblical understanding that inspired many.
Cyndy had a sincere compassion for those who are hurting and lonely, and she had a strong maternal instinct toward anyone needing love and tenderness. Whenever there was a need, she served in a quiet, unassuming way, preferring to remain behind the scenes. She hated injustice at any level and always fought for the underdog. While she had a defined sweetness about her, she was also sassy, had a quick wit and loved to laugh. She was dearly loved by her family and respected by all who knew her. Even in her final years at the nursing home when her discomfort was increasing, she became known for her spunk and one-liners.
She quietly had a lasting influence on those whose lives she touched, and she will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
